Despite the fact that the start of the regular season is still about five months away, yesterday’s schedule announcement was met with plenty of enthusiasm and excitement. While many things will change for the Dolphins and the 13 teams they’ll face this year between now and September, there are still some definite storylines to examine. Below we do just that, beginning with the opener at Houston:
Week 1 at Houston: The Dolphins open the Joe Philbin era on the road with a chance to remove the goose egg from their all-time record vs.
Teams looking for a quarterback in the draft must deal with the harsh reality of supply and demand.
Essentially, there aren’t enough elite quarterbacks to go around. But that doesn’t mean a team won’t take a shot in the dark, hoping that a quarterback prospect blossoms into a Pro Bowler.
The beneficiary this April likely will be former Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who’s starting to rocket up draft boards.

The quarterback position is always a hot topic of conversation, especially during this time of the year. The National Football League has become a sport where this position is one of supreme importance, and if you’re a team that dosen’t have a difference maker at the position, your franchise will be left behind! Only one of 12 playoff quarterbacks had a passer rating below 80 (Tim Tebow at 72.9), and the elite single-callers were well over 100 (Aaron Rodgers 122.5, Drew Brees 110.6 and Tom Brady 105.6).
