NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he is disappointed in the quality of last week’s Pro Bowl and changes must be considered, perhaps even dropping the game altogether.
Speaking on ESPN Radio, Goodell says this year’s Pro Bowl wasn’t “the kind of football we want to be demonstrating to our fans, and you heard it from the fans, the fans were actively booing in the stands.”

Goodell made his remarks on Sunday, hours before the start of the Super Bowl. |
Goodell has spoken to the NFL Players Association about his disappointment, adding, “We are going to either have to improve the quality of what we are doing in the Pro Bowl or consider other changes, or even consider eliminating the game if that is the kind of quality of game we are going to provide.”
The AFC won the game 59-41.

Not to mention your the freaking idiot that decided to play the pro bowl 1 week before the superbowl instead of 1 week after the superbowl! It was much better BEFORE you became commissioner! You know when the pro bowl ment something…. I remember seeing the superbowl teams fight it out one last time before the season ended. Now there not even there! So who cares.

Probowl is a joke. I don't watch any of it anymore.
It's embarassing as far as I can see to be a defensive player there and show no pride in what defense is all about.
I can't say I blame them as it is now just a vacation and time to chill for them, but come on either get rid of it or do something to make it at least interesting.
There were better hits in the Celebrity Game…..Puppy Bowl was more violent

Here's an idea.
How about the Free Agent Bowl…. Where you take all of the top free agent prospects and have them play at the end of the season.
At least you still get really good players, showcasing their skills for something.

Simple fix for the Pro Bowl
Have the Pro Bowl right before Pre-season.
Everyone has waited the whole off season and would be hungry for any kind of football.
If a great player just retired last season,we would have one last chance to see him play.
Example: Could you imagine if Dan Marino retired,he was voted to the Pro Bowl.
You could see him play one more time.
Maybe even if they were not voted to the pro bowl,they could get a free trip to play anyway.
You would get more ticket sales,more jersey sales,more viewers.
It's a WIN WIN for everyone.

The Pro Bowl IS stupid. Football is too physical to play a meaningless game and risk career ending injuries. I'd much rather see some kind of obstacle course competition or fan day where the players all show up, meet the fans and sign autographs and take pictures all day. Or maybe a friendly softball game or golf tournament. I don't need to see my boy Carlos Dansby tear an ACL in a stupid meaningless game.
