Ravens 26, Dolphins 10

For the first time in 2010, the Miami Dolphins lost a road game, going down to the Ravens 26-10 in Baltimore. It was a game of missed tackles and missed opportunities for the Fins, as several key mistakes helped keep them down most of the day. Ronnie Brown’s 12-yard touchdown run on the first possession of the day was the only TD that the Fins would score, and Dan Carpenter’s 19-yard field goal right before halftime capped off the rest of the scoring.

Chad Henne finished the day 22-of-34 for 231 yards and threw three interceptions, while Brown and Ricky Williams combined to run the ball just 11 times for 60 yards. Star receiver Brandon Marshall had one of his quietest games of the season, catching just five passes for 30 yards.

On the other side, Ray Rice combined to touch the ball 29 times for 180 yards and Joe Flacco was consistent, completing 20 of his 27 pass attempts for 266 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition to the three interceptions by Henne, there was a missed pass to a wide-open Anthony Fasano in the endzone before the half, a dropped interception by Sean Smith that very easily could have been returned for a touchdown, a missed field goal by Carpenter, and a failure to cover a gunner on a fake punt.

The Dolphins return home next week to face the Titans, as they look to bounce back from their first road loss by winning at home for the first time in 2010. Be sure to tune into the Finsiders radio show tomorrow afternoon from 4-7, as Keith Sims, Sam Madison, and I will be joined by Chad Henne, Tony Sparano, Anthony Fasano, and others.
